CELEBRATING 100 YEARS
The OU Golfing Society has over 300 members with a fixture list of around 35 events a year. The Club offers an excellent choice of meetings and matches suitable for golfers of all abilities, which are played at some of the finest courses in the country.
Events
All members, whatever their handicap, are welcome at OUGS area meetings and can apply to play in matches by emailing the match organiser from the fixtures list links below.
Low handicap golfers are also selected for teams in the Halford Hewitt, Grafton Morrish, Queen Elizabeth and Bernard Darwin Competitions (applications are submitted through the match organiser). These are National Public School golfing events and our teams have enjoyed great success since the OUGS was first founded in 1925.
Membership
The Annual Subscription is £40 per annum, reduced to £10 if you are 25 to 29, payable by Direct Debit. Under 25’s pay no subscription or green fees until they are 25. To join, please complete an application form, available to download here.

2026 Fixtures
Subject to team selection process
Open to all OUGS members under 35 years old
- Members are encouraged to use the OUGS website for entering the events - please use the email links provided within the fixture dates in the above calendars to enquire.
- Other than Halford Hewitt, Grafton Morrish, Queen Elizabeth and Bernard Darwin, events are played off Handicap - Men and Ladies play off Tees they wish, with appropriate WHS Handicap Allowance. OU golfers with high handicaps are made welcome at all OUGS meetings.
- The annual subscription for active playing members aged 30+ is £40. The annual subscription for 25-29 year olds is £10 and those under 25 years of age pay no subscription until 1st January following their 25th birthday.
- A £5 match fee is payable by members aged 25 and over playing in matches and meetings except when representing the OUGS as Scratch Team.
